Guideline 3D+ Compact - Shooting Head

Guideline 3D+ Compact slidershead are a modern series of short and compact lines for switch and lighter two-handed rods that give a new meaning to the term 'easy cast'.

Guideline 3D+ Compact rodshead are available in weights that cover the most common fishing with one-handed, switch and short and light two-handed rods. They are compact in length, but still fly extremely stable and accurate in the throw. Guideline has spent a lot of time fine-tuning the weight balance, the individual lengths and the transitions between the different densities - all to optimize them both in terms of sinking speed and how well they fish the fly in the water column. Their ability to be well balanced, yet powerful enough to flip over large, wind-catching flies and cast farther than you thought possible with such short head s makes them great all-round lines for many different fishing occasions. Their floating rear part makes it easy to lift the lines out of the water. They excel in the last part of the swing when the current slows down and a line with less buoyancy in the back loses speed and ability to fish towards its own shore.

The floating part of the F/S lines is about 40% of the total length and equally long is the fastest decreasing density in the front. 3D Compact shooting heads have a coating with the latest in PVC-free, environmentally friendly polyurethane material and are factory assembled with the industry's strongest loops. They are built on Guidelines' proven Direct Contact™ cores with only 6% elongation and have a breaking strength of 30lbs. The lines are designed to work perfectly without adding additional tips or polyleaders, just add a tapered leader in the desired length and you are ready to fish. All ropes are color-coded and have an ID print at the back end for easy identification of rope weight and density.

The different densities have colors as follows: FLYT - Pale green, F/H/S1 - Pale/Clear green, F/S1/S3 - Pale green/Medium Grey, F/S2/S4 - Pale green/Dark Gray , F/S3/S5 - Pale green/Black, I/S4/S6 - Pale Green/Dark Grey, S2/S5/S7 - Light Grey/Black.
