Orvis PRO Power Taper Textured offers an increased area on the line, this means the line sits higher in the surface film, significantly reduces friction, easier mending, less water splash and easier retrieves from the water. The texture on the line captures air for increased buoyancy and increased shooting ability.
Orvis PRO Power Taper Textured has a line weight that is half a class higher than industry standard, this allows today's modern fast rods to load faster. The advanced and elaborate tapering is designed to turn over slightly heavier rigs, streamers and large dry flies. Orvis PRO Power Taper loads your rod deeper and faster than a traditional line, this gives you more feel and increased timing in the cast. The block's length of 50 feet (about 15 meters) gives you good line control with tight loops and easy mending on the water.
AST Plus gives the line very low friction which allows it to slide out through the grooves with ease. AST Plus also creates a protective layer on the rope that stops dirt and oils from penetrating.
Each line comes with:

- Pre-made loops at both ends to easily connect to backing and leader .
- The line is tri-colored to easily see how much you have outside the rod tip, with a tip on the line that is in a stealth color so as not to scare the fish.
