The Sage R8 Core is a fly rod designed with versatility in mind. A fast action rod that allows you to generate tight arcs and high line speed with laser precision in all fishing situations. Fly rod handles all types of lines, short and front-heavy lumps - no problem. Long chunks designed for smooth and fine presentations - Sage R8 Core solves that too.
The rod has a sensitive top section that protects thin leader tips, a strong backbone for lifting power and a balance that gives you total control. The ingredients that combine to form the new Sage R8 Core make it an incredibly good all-round rod that casts large articulated streamers as well as it casts a small #22 size midge.
